I am a nomad at heart and have traveled throughout much of the world. I love to RIDE, swim, fish, canoe and go river rafting. I enjoy roughing it in the mountains with a tent and backpack, or going on Safari looking for undiscovered treasures. On the homefront I grow a mean garden and can cook anything you can eat! I play a 12 string guitar and am currently writing a novel (in my spare time). I like to dabble in painting and pottery and have a bit of a Bohemian side so I'm pretty laid back. I can communicate and fit in with any crowd, from the homeless to the jetset, and am knowledgable on most subjects. I firmly believe in showing kindness to all creatures, and even though I enjoy being outgoing and making people laugh, I have a quiet serious side. I know myself well enough to know what I hope he's "NOT". Examples: Egomaniac, who only feels strong if he is belittling or degrading others. Violent, having to prove his manhood by hurting women or those who appear his equal. Ignorant, afraid of failure so he won't try to learn new things. Lazy or always finding an excuse to not get out of bed or better himself. Insecure or constantly depressed, never seeing the joy in just being alive. Staying high or drunk in order to get thru the day because he doesn't like himself or life in general. No one wishes to acknowledge that they may have experienced any of the above traits. The true test is to recognize it's effect and stop the action. I guess what I hope to find is a wise man who values himself, takes pride in his work and accomplishments, learns from his mistakes, laughs at adversity and knows that to love is not a weakness but a step to perfection.
