I Would Describe Myself As

Like most people, I find it difficult to talk about myself. I can tell you the adjectives that I think describe me (caring, compassionate, loyal, faithful, old fashioned values) but I guess you will have to get to know me and find out for yourself. Obviously at this age everyone has a past, some people want to forget it. I believe everything in my past has led me to where I am today and made me the person I am. But let me be clear that I am not stuck there, I have moved on from my past relationship and am ready to embrace a new one. I also like to hear about other people’s past so I can understand better who they are and perhaps why they think the way they do, what makes them happy (or not).

I enjoy going for walks, reading, listening to music, cuddling in front of a fire on a rainy/snowy day, seeing live bands, entertaining - I'm generally open to just about anything. Not looking for someone to take care of me (I have my own home and car), I’m capable of taking care of myself but I would really like to share my life with someone again. After ending a 22 year relationship I miss holding hands while taking a walk, kissing anytime the mood strikes, missing that person even though we've only been apart for an hour, and truly being happy to see each other. I know that these things don't always last without work, but I am prepared to put the effort into making a relationship work (although not too much work because it should also come naturally).

Looking for a man who wants to be loved and will show it in return. Must be kind, caring, honest and faithful. Having a sense of humor is also a great thing - laughter is key to happiness. Would like to meet someone who is somewhat active and wouldn't mind introducing me to new activities and interests.

I'm not necessarily looking for marriage, just whatever works for us, but I am not interested in one night stands.
