I Would Describe Myself As
Hello, and thank you for stopping by...I'm an outgoing, youthful looking, trim (look great in jeans), blond-haired, blue eyed, honest man who respects a woman's boundaries and is tiring of riding alone. My interests are varied: I've been a brass musician since childhood, and I still perform regularly with various brass ensembles playing trombone or baritone. I've also been a drag racer since the early 90's having built & driven my own car, although I sold my race car to focus more on riding & touring since our local quarter mile tracks have closed.
I've been called an "Iron Butt" because I ride my Harley Sportster so much. I've ridden Route 66 solo, and I took my son on a 4-week "Lap of America" trip that covered nearly 7,000 miles. Our stops included Cedar Point Amusement Park in Sandusky, Ohio where he and I rode all their "ex-treeeme!!" roller coasters, Washington DC, and the Flight 93 Memorial in Shanksville, PA (a beautiful ride on PA back roads to get there.) My son rode on the back the whole time, using a custom passenger seat setup I put together that included armrests, a cupholder, and even a seat belt. However, I promise not to subject you to the 500-600 miles days we did a few times!
One of my goals in life is to help others see the potential in themselves. I have a teaching background, and my belief is that if you stop learning, you stop growing. To that end, I continue to contribute to youth arts by doing marching clinics for area high school bands and judging pageantry events such as parades or competitive marching band tournaments in my spare time. So, if you see a jockey-shifted Sportster parked at a marching band show, there's a good chance that will be me. :)
On a lighter note, I've noted I speak other languages besides English-- that would be Pirate (don't bikers tend to dress like them sometimes?), and I'm also fairly fluent in Swedish Chef ("Bork bork bork!") which is best heard in the kitchen as I like to cook, particularly if it's my killer beef stroganoff which I make from scratch. Did I just hear your stomach growl?
