I Would Describe Myself As
A little about myself...
As the title states--as corny as it may sound--it is what I am; old-fashioned, hold-the-door-open-for-your-lady rocker who enjoys the music/ways of the country and attends church most Sundays. I'm the epitome of the term "multi-faceted" with a foundation of Jesus Christ.
As a devout Christian and conservative, I'm seeking someone who shares these values, somebody who is non-materialistic, down-to-earth, honest, faithful, and loves spending time together doing even the little things such as star gazing or watching distant thunderstorms. As I fully respect other people's beliefs and opinions, when it comes to a marriage partner I need to be equally yolked in regards to our faith and political views (I'm not a fanatic, however).
Not fitting into a particular category, my personality could be described as a little country, a little rock and roll and a bit of symphony/orchestra for good measure; not a big fan of the city but I don't mind it when needed. I love the outdoors; I can, and have, sat on hills and mountains abroad admiring God's creation for hours. Some things I enjoy doing are spending time with my 16 and 9 year old, traveling, sightseeing, visiting historical sites/places as well as state parks, zoo/museums, kayaking, camping, archery, firearms... the list goes on and on. I'm just as happy and content in the tropics as I am in the mountains. As an avid motorcyclist--a passion of mine since childhood--I enjoy riding my sport bike and taking the dirt bikes out to the track whenever possible. On the opposite end of the spectrum I also enjoy relaxing in the morning with a cup of coffee or spending quiet evenings at home kicked back watching a good movie or sitting next to a fire with a cup of tea or glass of wine. I'm quite the handyman as I love to fix things--anything--from vehicles or motorcycles to household items and beyond. I am not into late night partying, clubs (but I do enjoy EDM/electronica) or the bar scene so POF is probably one of the best forums for a guy like me to meet new people.
Having a passion for music my taste truly runs the gamut from classical or atmospheric to classic rock or metal; minus gangster rap and the latest southern pop they call "country". In my library is a plethora of genres but contemporary Christian, rock/metal, 80s and Country (classic/pre-2000) probably get played the most.
I try to find the best in any person or situation; selective in my battles I believe peace is sometimes better than being right. I treat everybody with the utmost respect, I put others before myself and live by the Golden Rule: "Do unto others as you would have others do unto you." I'm easy-going, very open-minded and non-judgmental, loyal to those I love and hold dear and I avoid drama like the plague. I'm light-hearted and have a great sense humor but possess the maturity to know where to draw the line.
